please turn the page now...

Our last night in Singapore consisted of visiting a local Hawker centre for some more traditional Singaporean food, including the strangest dessert I've ever come across: a mountain of crushed ice drizzled with four syrups on top of grassjelly, massive agar-agar seeds and sweet red beans, topped off with sweet corn and condensed milk. Enjoyable? Let's just say we couldn't even get through half of it.. But it was definitely something we had to try. Following enjoying this massive banquet back at Chris's house with some drinks, we took a taxi into town for some partying at Zouk. It's an awesome club with equally awesome music and expensive drinks. Meenal (one of my flatmates from my time in Wellington) was also there with a few of her NZ friends after attending a kickboxing session in China. Small world!! It was great seeing her again! The night ended around 4am with some instant mashed potato from the petrol station around the corner from Chris's place.
Up the next day, early, Chris was kind enough to drop us at the train station for our journey to the airport ready for Vietnam... And that concludes the first chapter. Again, a big thanks to Chris for his wonderful hospitality, it definitely made Singapore for us!
